KIDS CLASSES

 

ACTING FOR KIDS-- Primary

Ages 4 – 7

Help your child build creativity and confidence in this high energy class. Focus on acting techniques, creating characters and expressing feelings in a fun friendly atmosphere.  The game based acting and improv activities will channel their energy and teach team work and clear communication with others while having lots of fun.

WHEN: Saturday January 21, 2012 9:30am - 11:00am

DURATION:  8 Weeks

ACTING FOR KIDS I

Ages 8 – 12

Help your child audition with confidence and build their skills while making friends and having fun. Students will receive accelerated instruction in audition technique, acting for the camera, commercial acting, theatrical acting as well as improvisation. This will be a fast-paced class focused on creating a well-rounded young performer with abilities in all genres of acting.

WHEN: Saturday January 21, 2012 11:00am - 1:00pm

DURATION:  8 Weeks

ACTING FOR KIDS II

 Ages 8 – 12

This eight-week class is for students who have taken either Acting for Kids or the summer Bootcamp, this course will build on the skills they have been introduced to. The first four weeks will focus on building characters, tapping into emotion, and the difference between "acting" and "being real".  The last four weeks will have the students working on camera to help find a deeper connection with the craft of acting through the play of Spolin's theatre games, scene study, and some writing of original monologues.

PREREQUISITE: Acting for Kids I
