WHAT STUDENTS SAY

“Michigan Actors Studio is a great place to study acting, improv and writing, no matter what level you’re at in your career. I started here and have had the privilege of learning from working professionals in classes with talented students at all levels. It’s been great to see my classmates and instructors on screen in great films and know that I am in good hands as I learn the craft. MAS students get work! I’ve had a blast every step of the way.”

–KEN ALTER

“As a working actor, MAS has proven to be an invaluable resource. Their instructors’ knowledge and first-hand experiences have provided me the opportunity to develop my craft further than ever. The MAS is an ideal environment to continue challenging myself and preparing for work on the set and the stage.”

–BRIAN BALZERINI

“I’m so happy that I learned so much from Rich Goteri and Rachel Bellack at Michigan Actors Studio. I took an auditioning workshop with a great casting director in LA.and my “audition” blew him away.. I used all the skills I learned from my Acting for Film classes.”

–SHEELA SHARMA

“Rachel and Rich have had my back since 02. I have always been able to just go there, get away and exercise my creativity in a nurturing environment. MAS is kinda like an underground fight club for the serious actors in Detroit.”

–NICKOLA SHRELI

“I just wanted to drop a note to thank MAS for everything they provide! I am walking in to my first meeting, and possible contract signing, for a stage play headed to NY, Atlanta, and other potential tour stops. If it wasn’t for Rachel Bellack, Patrick Moug, and Rich Goteri, along with my classmates; I wouldn’t be experiencing such a wonderful ride! I hope 2012 brings a huge amount of success to MAS and it’s heart of talented actors. Keep fighting the good fight!”

–JOSEPH SMITH

“Michigan Actors Studio made my dream come true. I can’t believe how much my life has changed because of Rich, Rachel and the rest of their outstanding teaching staff. I hadn’t acted since high school and after being an extra on some of the first feature films shot here in 2008 I got the acting bug bad. I was in the very first class at MAS and have taken many classes and workshops since. I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

I worked hard, did my homework, networked and signed with an agent. I’ve been lucky enough to have had two speaking roles in SAG films and look forward to many more. My role was cut from Harold and Kumar 3 but I made it into Machine Gun Preacher. I am awed by the talent, professionalism and encouragement in every class I’ve taken. I think I’m a much better person because of my decision to sign up with MAS. Break a Leg!”
