Rachel Bellack

Rachel is a native of Canada where her love of acting started with books and performing Shakespeare and grew to encompass commercials, television, and independent film. It was when she filled in for a cast member at Tony and Tina’s Wedding that she discovered her love of improv and the journey began. After moving to the USA she graduated from the Second City Conservatory and became an instructor at the Second City Detroit Training Center and at local colleges in the Metro Detroit area.

Rachel is currently the Executive Director at Michigan Actors Studio, Executive Producer at Comedysportz Detroit, and a Leadership Coach/Consultant at The Improv Advantage. She is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) and the Coaching Team for Women at Sundance. 

 

Rachel was brought up in an entrepreneurial family and spent her early years working with her grandfather in the family business. It was there that she learned the thrill of building new businesses and being a trailblazer and innovator and she applies her creativity to both her acting and business careers. Rachel is an ICF Credentialed Leadership Coach and Organizational Development Consultant as well as an actor, director and producer. She uses Applied Improvisation and Positive Organization Development approaches to assist individuals, teams and organizations in areas such as, leadership development, agility and resilience, culture and change management, diversity and inclusion, innovation and creativity. As a coach, speaker, and facilitator with a performer’s unique flair, she offers stimulating and entertaining workshops and signature programs that apply acting and improv methodology to “real world” leadership, presentation, and emotional intelligence training.  Rachel is a contributing author to the book “Words of Wisdom” along with Brian Tracy and Dr. John Gray. (2013 Amazon.com) In 2020 she received her Master of Science in Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University.
